Since new my cruise (when either on radar or not) behaves inconsistently when I try to increase the speed setting. Moving the lever up to try to increase the speed results in a hit or miss chance of it doing it. I just have to keep clicking it up repeatedly and it moves maybe 3 mph for about 10 clicks. Some clicks make it move and some not. Decreasing is similar but not as bad. More of an annoyance but I wonder if maybe I’m missing something…

Sounds like the switch is bad- did something get spilled on it? Could also be a loose connection somewhere…. Dealer can diagnose it.

This is definitely not a case where you don't know what the fuck you are doing. It certainly sounds like you are doing everything right! Once the cruise control is set for a specific speed, you should get a 1 mph movement (up or down) with each bump of the switch (up or down). I concur that there must be something screwy with your switch assembly. If you have warranty coverage, I would let the dealership service department have a look at it.

But as always, what the hell do I know?

It’s done it since the very first week I had it before any modifications at all. Not sure it’s worth going to the dealership just an an annoyance. I guess if it gets worse or stops working completely I’ll take it in. Was kind of hoping for a “mine does that too” response lol. Appreciate the suggestions.

The set speed shown at the top of the center screen should increase with each upward click of the stalk.

If you cancel CC then resume (same upward stalk movement), does it work 100% of the time?

Yes it does. Everything else is fine unless I want to click it up by a few or more mph. I’ve just accepted that I need to accelerate to the target speed and then hit “set” again. First world problems for sure I feel silly to even mention it

You can experiment, cancel and resume 10 times in rapid succession. If resume works 100% of the time, that rules out a faulty switch.
