Have a question for the fine folks here. Took a road trip to a family wedding this weekend in my 21 SR. The adaptive cruise took some getting used to the slowing and everything (never had a vehicle with it before) but after it slows and the vehicle moves out of the way, my truck accelerates very aggressively almost at full throttle i believe. Is this normal or does something need to be adjusted? I ended up cutting the cruise off because I thought something was wrong.

    Thank you for you help

    It's normal.
If you wish to disable the adaptive and run regular cruise. Just turn off the cruise, and turn it back on. Holding the on button down 2-3 seconds until the screen between the gauges tell you it's disabled.

Is it normal? Yes it is normal FOR THIS TRUCK. But would I call it "normal" really? No. It completely sucks to me. Like you noticed, it seems like it almost has a mandate to get back up to the set cruise control speed as soon as it gets the chance, no matter HOW HIGH the rpms are to get it there! I NEVER use DRCC [Dyname Range Cruise Control], opting instead for classic cruise control. To engage classic cruise control, instead of tapping the cruise button, hold it in for a couple of seconds, which in and of itself, is totally annoying to me, but oh well. As you do this, you will notice the icon in the instrument cluster, change from the regular DRCC notification, to one that is different for classic cruise control. I can't tell you how many times I have been driving down the highway, and without looking at the dash, THOUGHT I had held in the button to engage classic cruise control, long enough, only to realize when the dang truck tries to SLAM ON THE BRAKES at the very SIGHT of a car a MILE in the distance, that I had accidentally engaged the dang DRCC instead of classic cruise control! If I used DRCC all the time, my dang brakes would have been worn out by now!

OP, also check settings, you have to do it each time, but you can turn down sensitivity, it has three levels. The lowest setting is optimal for most of my driving.
As far as the resume; I like it, I don't want to be the shitbag that runs someone out of the way, then toodles on by, I'd rather get up to the speed I designated and not disrupt the flow.
