It would be safer to do on a backroad at a lower speed, maybe 45 mph. Climbing out is easy, getting back in is a little trickier.

 

Has anyone moved the sensor to someplace safe from the snow/ice? Glove box? Maybe the arm rest?

 

I relocated my tailgate camera to the glovebox to keep it safer. So far it has worked out great.

 

Have you considered modifying a flamOP you should get together with this guy and I think you two can solve both problems at once
