I have an issue with the front radar sensor not working all the time. When it doesn't work the cruise control will not function because of the front sensor fault/failure. Is there a way to bypass the sensor so the cruise control will work? The dashboard fault says "clean the sensor" which I have done but it still works intermittently.

Your radar assisted cruise control will be disabled (by design) until you clear whatever fault is causing the radar issue. You might be able to override this auto cruise control feature and go to completely manual cruise control, but I am not sure about that with an active radar fault. Good luck and be careful.

PS: But as always, what the hell do I know?

Have you done any mods to your truck? Different grill? Lift? Steel bumper?

Also if you long hold the cruise control button (5 seconds or so) it will go from radar to standard old school cruise control. I had a grill that made my sensor unhappy so I used the standard cruise control all the time.

Thank you! I will give that a try. I'm all for old school cruise control.
