I get the joke but I never mind replacing simple things on a 15 year old truck with 160k miles. Starter, alternator, fuel pump, blah blah blah, if I can upgrade it, it's on the list anyway so I'm happy to do it on my terms versus rolling the dice. And, Doing the URD pump upgrade for $80 with the Aeromotive pump is $80 I'm happy to spend. I'm also a hoarder so I have a lot of stuff I don't need around here.

Anyway, just wanted this solved, for anybody in the future, don't trust your gauge, add fuel and go from there.

Yeah, I was giving you hard time.

I’ve been known to hoard tools.
Yet, I’m a pro at procrastination when it’s time to use them.

Can’t say I am one that will do a fuel pump until the current one gives out.
I’ve done a few, none were any fun.
(I’ve not done one in a Tacoma. Hope I never have too:fingerscrossed:)

I have an F-250 and I've been putting off that one for two years lol, I hate working on them but also hate down time so I like having a backup car which I don't currently have.

Posting your thread using this man's song to say you simply ran out of gas would get this look from him:

Fill the tank up with 5 gallons.

    If it doesnt start,

    Try starting on starter fluid.

If it doesnt start you have bigger issues than a fuel pump. If it does start on starter fluid, start diving into the fuel pump circuitry then a fuel pump.
