There was a tiny wire. If I remember, it was an organ wire connected to orange. I had to switch one of them it with the loose white wire (unclip orange, clip in white)

I've decided to mount the switch where the cig lighter is and push that in the back with a dual USB charger and feed that into the glove box.

For the backup cam mod, can someone confirm if this will work?

    Power from pin 4
    Ground from pin 7
    Ilum from pin 10?

Item Wire Color Polarity Wire Location
Radio 12V white + radio, white 10 pin plug, pin 4
Radio Ground white/black - radio, white 10 pin plug, pin 7
Radio Ignition gray + radio, white 10 pin plug, pin 3
Radio Illumination green (parking lights); beige (dimmer) +,- radio, white 10 pin plug, pin 10; blue 6 pin plug, pin 5

I kind of put everything on hold until I can get back home and work in my garage.

I'm confused- you say you loose your USB-?

Does this mean the USB I currently have a memory stick in, loaded with MP3, is lost with use of the crux because it emulates that input source?

I use the beat sonic and my USB is working but the AUX input is not. I have learned to deal with it because i don't use it much anyway.

Actually, my USB is now working. I'm not sure why it wasn't working before.

I can't believe how long it has taken me to get back to this.

Anyone know if it will be OK to tap off of an accessory hot wire from the radio to connect to the 12v to 5v dual USB?

Old thread I know but while I'm here I might as well add something.
A member makes a tall fuse box cover to accommodate add-a-fuses for 3rd gens.
Probabably not a good idea to get power for a voltage converter from any old 12V source, get it from one of the power sockets or a fuse tap and be sure it's ignition only.
Rather than have several add-a-fuses I installed a small remote fuse box under the shift console readily accessible via the removable cup holders(5M) and source from that.
