You have to buy on of the three major coins on Coinbase, GDAX, or similar and then withdraw/Depot to Binance the same currency. From Binance you buy alt coins with either bitcoin or eth

You trade BTC or ETH for it.

Take BTC or ETH from Coinbase, add it to your GDAX. Once it is in GDAX, send it to BINANCE. Just like this but instead of BITTREX, it goes to BINANCE. In BINANCE, to get your receiving address for the specific coin (MAKE SURE THEY MATCH). Click FUNDS at the top right > deposits/withdrawals, find your coin you will receive and click deposit. It will generate an address.

You can send from either. Just the fees are lower on GDAX

Coinbase charges $10 to send BTC where GDAX charges next to nothing

I usually do ETH from coinbase to binance.. any cons to that? What I've always done.
Someone said buying litecoin on coinbase and use shapeshifter to transfer to wallets on binance

I've been doing LTC. Mostly because I got in when it was $100 for a few coin and am using the profits from that to play on Binance.

Yea, I wish I put more into IOTA ..and that I put in more cash to play with from my bank account. I'm going to drop $2k from my next paycheck to play with. Hopefully IOTA and a few others I'm in haven't skyrocketed too bad in a week. #fomo

So I'm thinking of downsizing my variety again. Made decent profits on some "penny" coins but I'm in far too many now, which ones should I dump?

HODL: LTC, XRP, ADA, TRX, IOTA
Also: SNT, XVG, XLM, REQ, EOS
    Considering: SALT

Thats a solid lineup. If you are looking to downsize, my cuts would be SNT, REQ, and EOS simply because they dont seem to have the "buzz" about them that your others have. Not a very scientific reason, I know lol.

Yea, there wasn't too much about SNT and REQ. I mostly dived in because the projects seemed interesting to me and somewhat related to what I do as a career. I'm a software engineer at a B2B finance company and REQ relates very closely to what we do there. And SNT would be cool to try and implement into my personal hobby project: Buildprint (www.buildprint.io).

Looks like a pretty cool project. Can you explain to me what .io suffix means for a website? I have been seeing a lot of them recently and dont know what it means. Is it a country code like some of them are, or something more universal?
