I've been trying to post this for hours but my work internet shit the bed:

It comes down to one binary question: Will the world adopt a newer, much faster, safer, cheaper alternative to transfer money internationally digitally?

If yes, all cryptocurrencies will become the new norm.
If no, everyone loses as society is going backwards to analog money transfers

At the end of the day, the media, banks, and governments don't like it because THEY don't have control over it. But like anything in the world, it's all supply and demand. Crypto becomes common place, it goes up in value.

PS. Crazy future prediction - National currencies (USD, EUR, YEN, etc) become obsolete and the entire world uses interchangeable crypto based on the technology available in the future.

I completely agree.. still haven't gotten an answer from anyone about Kraken??? Bueler?!?!

I mentioned earlier that Coinbase won't let Hawaii residents register so I gotta figure out if Kraken is OK

I've heard Kraken had hacking and connectivity issues, so I would personally stay away.

How about GDAX? They are owned by Coinbase though, so not sure if the islands will have the same issue.

Dang! The thread blew up today!

    Something to the effect of,
Some TW members had placed an order with him for some fuse boxes for him to make I believe it was (but not for certain been a long time), and he took their money but never sent them the product, but came up with excuses etc.

Ok, so what is currently out there that has the potential to be the next BitCoin in 5-10 years or sooner, anything?

The BitCoin boat has already sailed if you ask me but I would be willing to get in on something if it was at the price point that BitCoin was a few years ago. I figure Ive tied enough money up in penny stocks that will probably go nowhere so whats the difference right.

Just need to buy low and sell high. :bananadance:

I always see post like this and would like to pose one question....
Weather or not you bought the bitcoin at $4 or $5 or $10.
Do you think you would have held on to that coin after it hit $100 or maybe $500 or $5000?
I'd be willing to bet you would have sold the $4, 5, or 10 investment before it got to this point.
I'm not bashing, I'm just saying that people tend to beat them selves up over the what if

The Winklevoss Twins apparently bought 11-40 million dollars worth of BTC when it was in single digits:eek:

Old clip from 2013, when BTC was around 300 a coin

I, like so many of you feel like stabbing myself in the forehead with a flat head screw driver...

Also, you can day dream of all this and that, but then you have guys like the Winklevoss twins who put in MILLIONS when BTC was single digits.. So when you think about how awesome putting in a few thousand back in the day of single digits would've been cool and all, but not Winklevoss BTC cool. Supposedly they own 1% of BTC.

They're the ones that that turd ZukerFUKFACE stole the idea for Facebook from. Sued his punk ass and got a 65mil settlement back in 04.

Don't wanna derail the thread. But I have a feeling there's a shift happening.

i.e. Take a look at all the Saudi Princes who have been detained.
Notice how there's no bowing to the Saudis like before~know what I mean, you know like that pussy did.

Also, there's a possibility of some new energy sources coming down the pipeline from right here in the US (maybe some previously suppressed stuff). But we all have to wait and see.

I'm trying to shift from the heavily preached doom and gloom message we've all been hearing for years for the US/World, and start looking at the brighter side.. It's hard bc there's so much doom and gloom out there, we all really need to start shifting our minds, or else we feed into the negative and move into that direction.

    /end of little rant:)

Great question. Ive made some money off penny stocks but at the same time lost more than I've made. Still hoping for the big one though.

This guy covers some stuff I was gonna bring up, like the Whales/heavy hitters.. I think it's a good idea to keep this in mind..
Also could explain a lot of the rapid growth in recent history.

what if they want to withdraw all their usd from this?
lets say they own exactly 11m bitcoin...at the price it is now thats what? like $110b?
how does one even go about handling that kind of money? surely a bank wont just let you deposit that kind of money into a bank account
