How's everyone's favorite alt coins doing?
BTC Dominance is testing that 40% low again. The third arrow is where it was at when I first posted about this after the big fall at the beginning of December.

My Alts are doing mediocre, the old man is in a better mood now that STX is moving decent in the last 7 days. My biggest gains are still from ETH, ADA has been a total let down but still holding.

Yeah Cardano has been a tough one this year. It's been great for people that got in anytime in 2020 and in January of this year. Since then it's been kind of odd. It gets these huge spikes then consolidates for what feels like forever. I wish I would have just sold the rest of mine in Sept when it hit $3. Hopefully if/when this alt season kicks in, we will see closer to $5. I traded about $2k worth of my ADA into MATIC about a month ago. That is been doing well. Testing the ATH the last few days.

Yeah that was a good move! I’m down 1.8% with my ADA. Been listening to a lot of people who are more convinced that we are in a lengthened cycle. I sure hope so but not holding my breath. If we pump I’ll take more profits and wait for the next dip. Seems like the only strategy that makes sense to me right now.

Yeah that’s not a bad idea to take profits along the way. Looking at chart, it really does look like every segment of this cycle has taken longer to be play out. This btc retrace is looking like it could follow suit as well.

Also be aware of your tax situation as well when taking profits. especially now that we are coming down to the end of the year. I did some loss harvesting this week to negate some of my profit sales and lower my realized gains from this year.

So far I’ve only accumulated this year, I’ve been too greedy to sell at the highs in expectation of continued upward movement. So taxes this year will be normal for me I believe. However next year will be much more involved.

I use CoinTracker.io but am not dedicated to it, what do you recommend for portfolio and tax tracking James?

I used Koinly.io for my 2020 crypto taxes and it seemed to work pretty well with most exchanges. I'll probably use it again for this upcoming year as well.

Hopefully we will see some solid price action in the alt market as we enter into 2022.

I was watching this just now that is pretty interesting. Apparently there is a BTC dominance + ETH dominance chart as well. And it is looking like it may be falling as well meaning that other alts will see that money from BTC and ETH flooding into them. If you have 26 minutes, it a good watch.

i bought into ETH at a high (4500 and 4600) then it took a dive so i bought some more to lower my average a little. i am waiting for it to come back up to where i break even then am trading it out for something else. i guess im getting bored with it or have been reading about how people are bearish on it so its not looking promising.

IMO, it’s a decent possibility that ETH topped out already and 4400-4500 would be the retracement level it’ll move back up to before rejecting back down and potentially heading into its bear market.

ALGO gaining some momentum. Breaking away from BTC today. Locked and loaded. Think this moves into the top 10 next year without a doubt.

BTC Dominance continuing to creep lower. Over the weekend it broke through the low set in May.

I’ve been earning staking in my hit wallet for about 10 months. It’s been around 5-6%

All of those have ran up hard and have been great ROI for those that got in somewhat early.
