Honestly I’d put in a buy order at $9k. You’ll make money no matter what if you hold long enough.

ETH is over 500 now up 32 in the last 24 hrs

Man I wish I knew how to buy into this stuff. I'll just keep researching and hit it when it gets low maybe
I feel like there is so much misinformation on the subject that it's too risky. It almost feels like there's no clear cut established way to get into it.

GDAX/Coinbase down. Was going to finally register for an account this morning. Can't even log in.

Edit - Coinbase working, but GDAX not.

Yeah that's exactly what i did.. You will need to provide a photo of your license as well just follow the steps. Also you will need bank account# and routing# set up so you can cash out at any moment since they can't put the money back on your credit card. I opened a checking account with $25 and gave them that info. I bought $150 worth of litecoin as a test run on 11/13/2017 after fees it was $146.01 right now my litecoin account is $205.19

That's what I was thinking about doing as well. From my understanding, most people recommend to never keep your currency online, due to the chance that websites/businesses vanish (i.e. mtgox). Enter: wallets, a secure place to store your cryptocurrency (via a unique code generated).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong!

I believe you can use paypal but im not 100% on that. I agree it does sound spooky but you can literally cash out at any second from your computer, tablet or phone so you are in SOME control if shits going down bail out. Make sure you have your escape plan set up to put the cash in (paypal or bank account)

    ^^^This.

I just moved more money from my stock "day trading" account to "buy" more cryptos. I'm thinking about getting GunBot and just let it trade for me.

^^^ Just remember, this is "property" in the eyes of the government so you'll have to pay taxes on anything that's converted to fiat. We are SOOOOO new in this still (still in innovator stage) as I was at Starbucks yesterday and the girl taking my order didn't even know what BitCoin was, or even that they took it for payment.

Fiat currency is "state sponsored" currencies- i.e. US Dollar/Pound/Euro/Yen/etc.

This is what I have- for what's worth... I have CoinBase linked to a separate bank account- outside of my "pay bills/mortgage/etc" account. It's easy to get a basic checking account- you can do it online. I also have the "separate account" linked to my trading account on Bittrex.

I buy Bitcoin through CoinBase, and then I transfer that to my Bittrex account.

Remember, this is block chain technology and BitCoin is "mined" so some of the fee you're paying is actually going to the miners that mine the BitCoin and keep it all going. I don't think CoinBase fees are high, and with BTC the way it is (continually growing) you'll make way more than what the fee just by the sheer value increase.

I have Bittrex (trading platform) that charges 0.25% of the trade size- per trade. I think of it as approximately $1.50 per $500 (USD) when trading.

**Edit- You are NOT late to the game. Something like this only happens about every 150 years. What cryptos are right now is what the NYSE was in 1792. We are still in the innovator/early adoptions stage.

Think about this- Starbucks has accepted BitCoin since March of this year. When I was at Starbucks yesterday, the girl taking my order didn't even know what BitCoin WAS- much less they took it as payment.

We are still WAY early in the game.
