Why did you make a new lower crossmember? I like it if you could get some really detailed measurements of one installed you could clearance it or do whatever before the CSF one gets there in June.

If you put a straight edge or ruler on the front side of the radiator end caps and drew an imaginary line down past the crossmember, how much clearance would you have?
Can you get a side pic of the crossmember and radiator?

Hey Tim this guy has a factory front cross member for sale if you want. Or maybe I could get one for you but I bet I would be more expensive than he would be

I didn’t make it actually. @Sub-Zero made it back before I figured out the whole welding thing. As a matter of fact, Ryan moving to CO is one of the major reasons I bought my welder. That, and @stairgod getting tired of welding things for me too :D

I bent the factory crossmember on a trail. Not my proudest moment...

Just looking up from the bottom, not much, if any. It would be too close for me to feel comfortable with it I think.

    I’ll get some pics later.

Thank you Rob, I appreciate that. I don’t want that weak factory crossmember back in there.

You know Jon and @El Dahs keep pushing the limits of what we can do with IFS Tacos... o_O

I am pushing the limits of IFS and 285s. I cut my factory crossmember out and welded in a thicker one up higher .

Where are you located? I have an oem FJ radiator in my shop that you could use for mock up.

I'm probably going to be the recipient of a shitstorm for saying this, but I'm really not a fan of Whataburger. Either my tastes have changed, or their quality has gone downhill because for the past couple of years everything I've eaten from there has been bad.
