Unfortunately not today. Going out of town for an adventure. Maaaaaybe tomorrow. If not, then during the week. Also installing a new water pump. Only need a little over an hour, but I have to have that time.

So looking at urd's website I can't tell a difference between the Tacoma labeled radiator and the fj labeled one other than the fact the Tacoma one is $100 more. Can someone please explain why there is a price difference?

    Thank you in advance.

the fj one you either have to buy an fj shroud and reservoir, or modify the Tacoma one.

Tacoma radiator is direct bolt on

I don’t know the technical differences but the fj definitely works. That’s what we all used initially prior to the Tacoma model being released. Just make sure if you go fj to get the fj shroud and overflow tank. Otherwise you’ll have to do some trimming to the bottom of the Tacoma shroud to make it fit the fj radiator.

    A thing or two...
The tacoma radiator is bolt in and 2 row. The FJ radiator is taller than the stock Tacoma radiator and 1 row.

Thank you both. I would assume they both give similar results? Just two ways to skin the same cat?? Seems if you save the money on a fj one then you spend that money on the replacement shroud and reservoir...

Thank you Jeremy! URD has them both listed as 2 row. Hence my confusion.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
Unlikely, the entire thing being thicker even if it isn’t 2x, compared to the extra 2 inches at the bottom.

I have an FJ and a tacoma csf sitting in the garage. I want to sell one of them, likely the fj one. If someone wants to buy, and they don’t care, I can fill both up with water to positively end the debate...

Are there any side by side measurements or comparisons that people want of them before I put it up for sale?

Dang, the Tacoma radiator is $100 more expensive than the FJ/4-Runner one.

Here is what I paid for all new OEM FJ parts with part numbers. You can save a fair amount going aftermarket. We did back to back installs with aftermarket and OEM shrouds and tanks, OEM was definitely better quality and fit, and the OEM shroud was easier to install, but at the end of the day it is just a plastic shroud and a plastic tank. To me it was worth the extra few dollars for OEM.

    16470-31130 Recovery Tank $59.50
    16711-31510 Fan Shroud $78.02
