I'd do the thermostat at the same time. Saves on the mess associated with the filling of the coolant system multiple times.

Ditto. I saw no change in temps with the 170* thermostat that came with the UCON.

Intake air temp shows 84*. A/C is on all the way cold. It stays 186-196 most of the time. My clutch fan may be on its way out. Hoping to find a way to mount an E-Fan to the FJ fan shroud. I did it on my 530i and it worked out really well.

Just a guess. Seems like the temp isn’t as cool as it should be.

Same .. no difference with the 170 thermostat. I’m usually at 186 to 193, but I’ve hit 198.

Same. No biggie for me, since I’ve got some other stuff to do this weekend. Hopefully I can get my hands on it for next weekend, though.

I’m in no rush as I still have to buy coolant and trans fluid but i just want to see it in all its glory. I wonder if that fj shroud will work with out cutting because if so I hope you discover it before I cut my shroud and I can just buy the fj shroud. I have so much stuff to fix/do on my truck I don’t even want to start lol

I’m not sure if the engine sits higher/lower/same in the engine bay as the Tacoma does. That’s what I intend to find out. I’ll definitely report back to let everybody know.

I know what you mean about too much to do. Sometimes the pile of parts gets too high and I don’t even want to look at it :D.

What are your temps now? I go to school in Lubbock and live in PortArthur....8+ hours of driving are hell on my cooling system....constantly above 200°. I cracked the stock radiator and installed an AutoZone one. I don't think the AutoZone one can cool as good as the OEM one. When I stop or slow down, temps jump up. It's not the thermostat or rad cap, cause i've replaced that thinking it was the problem.
Gonna order this and hope it helps.
