Just an update the fridges have landed. As soon as freight can get unloaded and checked in they will start shipping.

I think I messed up. I was just sitting here at work talking about my drawer/platform build and one of my co workers goes

Employee: “aren’t you buying a bigger fridge”

    Me: yeah what’s your point?

Employee : “well you build your bed platform around the one you have now”

Any good way in particular to secure it from being easily stolen?

Hey, I didn’t buy from you as I just found this thread this morning while researching an issue. If you have a minute and have any input I would appreciate it.

I am doing a dry run on my new 63 quart W53. Battery is an X2Power 27F AGM which started at 12.83V yesterday morning. Refrigerator was set to 39F/7F for the two zones. Protection was set to medium at 11.5V and ECO mode.

So, after one day my battery is at 12.21V. Sounds about right.

The refrigerator monitor regularly reads .1 or .2 below what it is at the battery. Voltage drop because of the cord I am assuming. No big deal.

However, when the compressor kicks on the monitor shows roughly 10.0V while the battery still shows 12.21. This causes the refrigerator to turn off unless I am at the very low protection setting of 9.5V.

The lower temp setting (showing 22 deg) is the freezer side and is supposed to be at 7 degrees. But, I had the protection at medium overnight (11.5V) so it would turn off and that side couldn’t maintain temperature.

Is this normal? I’m not sure why the refrigerator monitor would show 10.0 while the battery shows 12.2.

After talking with a local guy I think it is just massive voltage drop from the wiring. I have the stock 12V cord plugged into an 12V to SAE adapter, connected to an SAE to alligator clips adapter.

I am wiring up my 4Runner in the next few days, running 10AWG back to a Blue Sea panel. We’ll see what the difference is then.

I would say too many adapters. Sounds like you have a good plan in place.

Try using blueseas circuit wizard, it should give you the right gauge wire after taking into account a 3% voltage droop

The app works incredibly well. Checking temps and changing settings from your phone is crazy. Screenshot_20200617-182409_CSI Black Ice Fridge Freezer.jpg
