It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Theres 4 screws on the back of that big panel

To take off the big panel:

    1. remove thresh hold trim.
    2. unscrew plastic fastener next to dead pedal, remove that trim piece under the fuse box. 2 more clips hold it in.
    3. remove the three bolts on bottom of big trim piece under steering wheel. then pull it off. there are 11 clips but they won't break.

Then you can remove the 4 screws on the back of the panel and remove the cubby.

It sounds harder than it is, only takes a couple minutes.

I found a smaller hole I wanted to replace it with :D I just ordered the 3 panel switch so that's why I was wondering don't know about the OP.
Also last question if anyone can help. The big trim piece under the steering wheel... does it matter which way you pull it off for the clips? Pull up? Towards me? Down? Thanks

Yeah just out. i started at the bottom where its already loose after removing the bolts. you have to give it more pressure than you might like but the clips wont break, they are designed to go in and out
