I know this gets discussed from time to time, but the search function on this forum . . . not great.

I was down at the dealership buying clips for the grill on my son's 4Runner and I thought to myself, "Find out how much the cup holder flappers are". They weren't bad, so I bought them, too.

Before I start taking the interior out of my truck, does anyone know how to install these things? It looks like I have to remove the center console and install them from the bottom.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Yes, 10mm bolts and philips screwdriver removes the console. I believe they are screwed in underneath

Yea, I did it. It cost me 5 or 6 bucks. Took about 15 minutes, including pouring a drink. My wife scoffed at me when I told her what I was doing. Having done it I find it of dubious value. However, I told my wife that my truck now has more power, gets better gas mileage, and is smoother over the bumps.
