Cup holder HAM head mount

Anyone have any luck with cup holder mounts and their HAM setups? Search function didn't come up with anything, except for this custom one from @Flytmech -- which is making me think there's a reason why no one does this.

With 30 cup holders in these trucks, I'd like to put some of that real estate to use.

 

I ordered a pretty unique gooseneck type cup holder from eBay to hold the control head on my Icom 7000 all band. The phone holder is held on by a flat platform piece on the end of the gooseneck part. I took it off and attached to the back of the control head with small screws and nuts. Simple, works good because you can bend the gooseneck where you want and it stays out of the way. The cup holder part screws to expand in and out of any size cup holder and is solid and doesn’t spin.

The reason I did it that way is so I could move my radio from car to car. The power unit stays in a bag with speaker clipped on the outside which I toss it on the floor behind the seat. All my vehicles (and boats) have power and antenna connects there in the same place. Works out pretty well.
