Cup holder/square bin removal?

Is it possible to pop out the can holder/square bin that’s in the center console of my 2021 doublecab Tacoma? It seems like it might be a separate piece than the rest of the console, as in, there are seams. But it’s in there pretty snug.

The one in my 2015 popped out easily, making it easy to keep clean. I’d like to do the same with this one. It’s inevitable the crap just wants to collect in the bottom of those conjoined cubbies of doom.

I’ve looked for threads in the forum, but nothing seems to address this particular piece.

 

That would be nice to remove. In my experience, if I put some chocolate bars in the cubby and shut the lid, leave the door unlocked and go to bed. Tomorrow morning a bear will have removed it and maybe one of the front seats.

 

The more I look at this, and examine some pics that show the underside of the console, I believe now, that it’s one piece. The part I can jiggle a bit is just the chrome trim piece.

which now makes me think that some enterprising vendor could come up with a 3D printed or blow molded insert that would pop in and out easily for the purpose of cleaning.

Anyone out there up to the challenge?
