Best bet for that many switches would be a secondary fuse block. Does it have to be wired to the ignition?

Yep I recommend a secondary fuse block and use relays between the block and your switch to set it to be hot when you turn on the ignition. Maybe tie the relay to an add-a-fuse on the internal fuse block (probably the radio or illumination)

This^ Unless there is no reason for it to be wired to the ignition. I wired a secondary fuse block directly off the battery so its always hot, unless I throw the lever on the breaker. I did it that way so I can use my bed lights and under hood lights without the ignition on.

    Something like this...

The plain was to wire them into the ignition bc the switches have lights that i want to illuminate when i turn the key. So each switch would need two relays? One for the fuse block and one for then lights being added?

Only one relay. Power to close the relay and allow power to the secondary fuse block would need to be tied to the ignition. Everything else could be run directly from the secondary fuse block.

Although since it would be used to close the circuit in a large gauge wire, a solenoid might be better then a relay.

So power from the battery to a relay then to the sec. Fuse block. The an add a circuit from the truck fuse block to the sec. Fuse block?

Sort of, I'm on a phone so this will be crude. but it would look something like this

    Battery-------relay 1-------secondary fuse block.

Then an add a circuit in an ignition powered fuse slot or tapping into an ignition powered wire to relay 1.

So relay 1 has three wires on it. One battery in, one battery out, and one ignition in. when power from the ignition goes to the relay it closes the circuit from the battery to the fuse block providing power to it.

This would make the entire secondary fuse block hot with the ignition. So anything you run off of the block would also only be hot with the ignition.

Or you could do the same thing on each switch power wire. Which would be more work, but you don't need as big of relays.

If you decide to go the route of making the whole fuse block wired to the ignition I would think a solenoid would be better then a relay, but it works the same way essentially.

I like and understand the first one. What kind or relay is required for this and what gague wire from batter to relay and relay to sec. Fuse bloc?

I used four gauge wire and a hundred amp circuit breaker. So after the breaker and before the fuse block is where I would put the relay/ solenoid. Id recommend a solenoid. Though I'm not sure how they are rated. But you want it to be rated no higher then 80% of the current the wire can handle. If it were me I would try for a hundred amp capable solenoid but something that doesn't require much to close the circuit. Sorry I can't be more help. I know how they work just not how they are rated. Hopefully someone else will chime in. Or you could start a thread asking about it. Might get more info that way.

    Great looking switch panels everyone!

Mods should make this a sticky and re name it "custom switch panels"

Add a fuse with a 12v ignition source, run it to a 100 amp senoid. When the ignition is turned to the 'on' position the solenoid closes the circuit giving power from the battery to the accessory or in your case an aux fuse panel. A 100 amp solenoid has 3 prongs, 2 are big 1 is small obviously the small one is for the 12v ignition and the 2 bigger prongs are for battery in / accessory out.
