Thank you for the order! Let me know what you think about it. I put a LOT of time and money into developing this one!! It was considerably more difficult and expensive compared to the one I did for the 3rd gen.

In your list of bottles and cups it could and couldn't hold... can it easily hold a 1L bottle (like a bottle of soda or seltzer... or the kind you might have used as a bottle rocket when younger)? And can it hold the vacuum 40 ounce bottles that are roughly the same shape? Given that the doors can't, that's my biggest peeve in this space right now.

Based on what I could find on the interwebs, a typical plastic 1L bottle of say, Coke, is between 3.56-3.63” in diameter. So YES, if those dimensions are correct, then it would fit. That’s the best I can do without running out to the grocery store!
The max diameter it will fit is 3.63” (3-5/8”). That covers most insulated bottles like Hydroflask and similar. Some Yetis are still too big though.

Sweet! Now this has me seriously contemplating...

    Just measured with a caliper:
    1L plastic water/soda bottle = 3-3/8" diameter.
40ounce Hydroflask or Takeya vacuum bottle = 3-5/8"
(both of those rounded up to the nearest 1/8" as they were both under by 1 or 2 32nds)

Try turning your phone 90 degrees to landscape. You should be able to see the shopping bag then. I guess it’s a glitch in the formatting. Sorry!

The intended purpose is to hold/carry chalk for climbers---- label is Rhino Valley, but if you do a search on Amazon for chalk bag/chalk pouch for climbers, any of them should work for you.

I got it installed today and it was very straight-forward. Looks good and seems to be a quality product. I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't like the elimination of the silver trim but once installed, it really does work nicely.

For the larger mug I use regularly, the handle still sticks too far into the other side for me to use both but I think it would be difficult to build one that had enough room based on the constraints of the console. One thing I would suggest is coming up with some type of plug for the holes where the reducer snaps in. If you plan to use it without the reducer in place (like I probably will) it leaves the holes open so doesn't looks as nice. Other than that, I would say this is definitely worth the price.

    Very clean looking.
I too want sure wether the loss of the diver trim would matter.

I don't like the two exposed holes though, as you said - crap catchers, (including accidental liquids!) if the reducer is not in place. Would prefer a sealed design with no holes that either didn't latch or did what my previous Toyota did and used wedge style friction to hold the movable 3 position divider.

Will be monitoring to see if TacomaCup makes a revision.

I don't want a discount. How incredibly impressed. I am with what they've put together and invested in getting to this point. It really is plugging a gap that Toyota should have never had in the beginning. However, I'm absolutely not comfortable with direct holes existing that can allow liquids or bottle sweat to leak down into the interior of the console where it cannot easily be addressed. That's a big No-No in my book. I'd also like to see something that allows for the cabling attachment point to exist rather than the connector after to the rear USB ports now being a loose cable that can rattle around unless you wrap it in some foam before closing everything back up.

I appreciate the feedback. For the wire harness, there are many options self adhesive wire ties and clips. I will try some and see if it would make sense to include something with the product. Otherwise as you said, I think wrapping the connector in foam or the loop side of velcro to prevent rattles certainly wouldn't hurt. Although I have had the console in and out a dozen times and I have never heard a rattle so I don't see it as a concern personally.

Regarding the holes - I hope this video will address your concerns:

Unfortunately, that video only addresses the concerns of leaking IF the reducer is in place. If it isn't, the holes are an issue.

I have one of these. It fits my 2024 cupholders fine. I don't understand the issue being discussed here at all. Not trying to be dismissive - I really don't get it. I'm really serious. My Yeti slips right in. Works great.

The results of the test would have been exactly the same regardless of whether or not the reducer was in place, because the holes are above the water line.

Tacomacup -- Love the product. Thanks for making it. I wish there were more insert options. I asked for bigger cup holders and now I have them. But now my cup holders are too big. LOL Can't make everyone happy all the time. Thanks again.
