As I've read, the factory darkened glass on the rear side windows is around the 25% mark. If I were to put on 20% tint on these 25% darkened windows, that would achieve a 5% tint as 20% of 25% is 5%. Have any of you put 20% on the rear side windows? How did it turn out? I'm planning on getting 25% on the front side windows as that's the legal minimum in Texas, and I want to achieve a 5% on the side rears as there is no legal minimum

i put 5% over the rear side wdws years ago, pretty much blacked them out, which is what I wanted, and there was no legal min. for the rears here either

I'd like to still see out of them at night. Have you had any issues with this?

you can see light but it's really, really dark. I was more concerned with not seeing in then seeing out

On my previous tacoma I had them do 35% front and 20% back. I specified that I wanted it to be 20% overall, so take the factory smoke into account. They put 20% film on there, dropping it down into the single digits, much like you plan on doing. I couldn't see shit out of them at night. I had to roll them down at times to park. I wouldn't recommend that dark personally.

That's really good to know. I might see if they can hold it up and I'll see about how it looks. Thank you! I live in a very poorly lit town so not being able to see out would be dangerous
