Yeah, could have summed up the whole of all seasons in one 1.5hr History channel documentary. They should have bought millions of gold bullion and put it in a treasure chest and actually made a profit.

Jumped to page 38... it's all clickbait

I enjoyed watching the show more cuz I was interested in the technology of how they did all their exploration than anything.. but the overhyped "discoveries" got to be a bit much

This thread needs to be revived.

Show is back - Season 6 and 3 episodes on so far.

They are doing extensive work again on the island. Looks like Gary Drayton found a "bonnie dazzler".

...and the "I am going to say everything you just heard in the form of a question" narrator is in full force.

i like the show but I get so frustrated with the narration that my kids are cracking up when they recognize the absurdity

Nope, not wasting time on this one anymore. They actually find something it will be all over the news anyway.
Besides the narrator, the repetitive graphics and speculation are mind-numbing.

I still watch it because its so close to home. But what i dont get is they have a target at 50 feet and then the money pit at 170ish. Why not got for the 50 foot one first. Would be cheaper and easier...maybe they have to wait and talk about it 1000 times first before they actually do it?

i think the deeper one had 2 potential hits on the one drill. they had the "collapsed tunnel" at ~100' and the "vault" at 170', IIRC. went for the 2-for-1 instead of the short one.
