This season has been a bummer, there is more to this island than just crap theories and wild guesses. I wish they would use more ground based radar. On Hunting for Hitler they roll the ground based radar all over the place...in peoples back yards, over concrete blocks, on the beach. Hell, lets move that high speed shit over to Oak Island and figure this thing out.

Also they need more people who can work on that Island. Too many people standing around staring at one guy doing something. Moping their face with a rag complaining about the weather and "bad luck"

I agree they need more radar, sonar, lidar and all that good stuff and stop wasting time going over every theory out there.

For one of my final projects in school we have to make a map of a study area we choose in Nova Scotia, ill be doing oak island as mine.

I lost interest in it, every episode is 40 minutes of dicking around and 5 minutes of actual work

X3 - They have so much good equipment, but each episode is the same. Some "guy with a theory" comes to the island, they take a vote, dig a hole, stare into the hole, give up, cover hole, end of episode". Maybe they could finish one project first.

You watch their Talking Dead ripoff after show? The host is the biggest retard I've seen and it's as boring as the real show.

I didn't believe that was possible, but you're right, it's called Drilling Down. Why would need a "behind the scenes" show for something that is all behind the scenes. I don't need to know what they do during the times they aren't digging because they show that every episode. Every boring detail is covered, so why talk about it.
And you're right about the host

Mm. Fascinating to watch the opinions change over the course of three seasons of the show. All valid and good points. :)

Watching last tuesday's episode, and I'm starting to think that if there were any loot on that island, someone took it and kept their mouth shut a loooooong time ago.

Yah, that guy is so bad that I have to watch for some reason. I sit in my recliner and wince while I watch him...so bad its somehow good?

That makes sense given how many holes are in that island. The numerous myths indicate there was something there at one time, but now they can't find squat using all sorts of equipment. I think you have the correct answer, but I'm sure they'll keep digging (and watching the water fill their holes).
I said it before in this thread, but it's worth noting that governments will try to take their share of anything you pull out of the ground these days. I know a pirate doubloon is worth more than it's weight in gold, but it's not worth anything if you have to give it back. If they did find something, it was melted and sold - loong ago

My mom got me a book about the island. The girl who worte it believes the island was used to make tar for ship building. So there is no treasure there, just remains from the structures and tunnels from the tar production.

There also was one of the original Oak Island land owners who suddenly got rich really fast but spent it all looking for more treasure right?

I'm sure the people working there dropped coins and personal things from time to time. I haven't fully read the book yet, but that's just my thought.

The last episode showed that they finally got a diver to the bottom of the money pit...so I guess on the new episode next week some questions will get answered.

Wasn't the last episode the last episode?
