I built this rack after a while of looking around at all pro and a few builders on the site. Mine may not be as good as these ither guys but I also have only Spent $180 and a couple days on it so far.
Let me know what you guys think

Throw some fabric on it and you have a soft topper too, I want to make one of these so bad but no welder :( (what kind of welder would you need to make one of these?)

looks good, only thing I would change is the height of the crossbars, not a fan of how they are quite a bit higher than the cab

I like it looks nice one advantage of being higher would be carrying gear such as kayak's and such.

I like it. I love the fact that it doesn't sit under the roof. This thing would be awesome to put a canoe on the roof.

Let me know if you ever figure a way to do this. I was tossing the idea around for a while, so I can put a roof-mounted rack or rooftop tent over the Bestop. Only problem I see is the fact that the bed rails are covered when the windows are in.

Great job! That's exactly what I wanted but couldn't get because shipping from the areas where similar versions are fabricated would be way too much. I ended up with a Body Armor sport rack that doesn't really impress me.

Very nice, looks like it's tough enough to load up with lumber and such. I would be interested in one

you can have the mounts sandwiched in-between the rails. A couple members here already did it.

Man that is pretty nice. I might have to make that for my next project. When the weather cools off here of course. I stop all welding and blacksmithing during the summer. You pass out one time and it makes you not want to do it again ( plus the wife freaked out about it).
Question-----Did you have the pipe bent for you on the turns, or do you have your own pipe bender?
