    just got my seat spacers. thanks to @7r41lbr34k3r. super fast shipping. craftsmanship is top notch. thanks to @tonered. the brains of this product. i couldnt wait for the weekend to install, so i did it as soon as got the package.

    install, not much to be said here, pretty staightforward. took maybe 15 minutes. i think i took more time admiring the work then the install. havent driven the car with the spacers yet, but initial impression is confusion. i mean that in a great way. i say confusion because you get used to the fixed seating position for two years and all of a sudde its different. it feels more comfortable, you get a better view over the hood, and now i have an "adjustable" seat (well two way adjustable, haha).

    i think im going to plastidip them this weekend. thought about painting, but that seems like too much work, for something i want to blend in with the carpet and seat bracket.

    i hope the other buyers enjoy them as i am. if anyone has any question, feel free to ask.

    Very cool, thank you for the feedback!

    The rest of the spacers shipped yesterday afternoon, tracking info will be sent to appropriate parties when I get back to my desk.

    @tonered

    are the covers meant to sit inside the lip of the spacer? or are they meant to on top of the lip? just curious.

    Definitely on top. There would be a gap if that lip was not there.

    Thanks! It puts a smile on my face every time I see it. Easily my favorite mod so far (others are more important and necessary, but the bumper is the most bad ass).

    What Rick said. The hole is oversized to allow you to shift the spacer around and align it with the cover for a smooth appearance. You can see this in @Sr5coma 's post:

    There's certainly a lot of metal to be removed for my small mill. Takes me just shy of 3 hours to make a set of two.

    Check your PMs, should be M10x1.25(fine pitch). 50mm length and grade 10.9.

    50mm seems too long. I tightened it quite a bit, and it’s still sticking out.

    Nevermind, the problem was that I cross-threaded it. I tried over and over but couldn’t thread it in right, so I left it in cross-threaded, and put in four washers to ensure no gap. I’m sure there’s still plenty of engaged thread to keep it seated in a collision.

    My weathertech floormat doesn’t sit flat in the corners anymore, but first impression of seat is that it transfered weight from tailbone to backs of thighs, which should help a lot.

    If I were you, I would clean up that hole and install a helicoil. Probably toss is some protectant for grins.

    Remember that the seat belt buckle is attached to the seat. It isn't worth taking risks, IMVHO.

    I’m taking the spacers out tomorrow, I’m hoping original bolt will thread in ok. I’m still finding the seat extremely uncomfortable, and the change in angle seems to be causing some slouch and irritating my neck. I sound like an old man, but trust me, this is the only seat that does this crap to me. 20 minutes is all it takes to put me in pain. I can sit on an unpadded wooden dining chair for hours, but I can’t stand this seat.
