Okay, moving right along. I've arbitrarily picked 2/15 as the date I will begin taking orders. Not sure how many orders will be taken, 20-30 seems reasonable enough to where you're not waiting on me forever like some other knob makers. It will be first come/first serve, and I will not take information prior to that date. There is/was no waitlist for this batch, so please mark 2-15 on your calendar if you are serious about securing one. This is the only batch for 2021.

Now is the time for discussion as I have plenty of free time. I prefer to do this in public for maximum viewage. Once 2/15 gets here I will surely be overwhelmed, or, at best ... spread very thin. Try to not wait on hammering out the details if you do not already know the knob specs you desire. Discussion can be here, or in my new FB group (linked in the OP).

Once my order limit is reached, materials will be ordered and machining will commence once the materials arrive. I already have enough Copolymer/Delrin and brass in stock for about a dozen of those (the all-black knobs). Machining will begin for the copolymer knobs immediately after orders are locked in.(refundable) $50 deposit or full payment will be accepted up front, totally up to the buyer and their comfort level.

When the time comes they will ship in this order:

    - Delrin/Copolymer
    - Aluminum
    - SS, Ti

That is due to the engraving bits needing to be sharp for Delrin/Copolymer. Blunting them on SS and/or aluminum, then going back to polymer would be a huge no-no.

When the time comes (2/15 through the time it takes maximum orders to be reached), contact me through any of these accounts to place your order:

I think I may have asked this before but I don't remember....Do you have a version that will fit a 1st Gen?

I can make a sphere type knob (already planning to make at least one), but it would have to have the black copolymer ring on it (to suit my fixturing).

Pretty sure the first gen boot is detached from the knob already, correct? I had a '94, so not sure if 'yota kept that the same when it became a Tacoma.

It is detached, at least on mine anyway. It just kind of slides up to the knob.

A sphere would work just fine. If you really wanted to get crazy, a custom boot could be made to fit a V2 MT. If anything else is desired, hit me with ideas and I will see about getting it done.

That is the very first knob under copolymer knobs, found in build examples (in the OP).

    Copolymer hybrid v2 MT:

    - aluminum core
    - grip grooves
    - border grooves
    - #8-A engravings

    Weight is 195g.

What would the cost be for a custom collar engrave?

It depends, really. Usually, I say it's at least $45 to fire up CAD just to keep the tire-kickers at bay. However, if the file is clean enough for me to grab a relatively small number of easy toolpath chains, and the design is simple enough, there have been MANY cases where I have not charged anything extra. This especially when engraving custom onto the more forgiving materials (copolymer and aluminum).
