Just got my knob and I'm super excited about it.

I'm not sure I'm following this correctly . Does the shim go all the way down into the center of the knob? Seems too big to fit in there.

V3 MT knob in case it matters

Couple things. I actually changed the groove style because if I went any lighter on the flats those finer grooves would be far too deep, below the flat. I changed the profile so it looks more substantial at a lesser depth. I will have to model up a smaller OD, a tighter arc (dropping off quicker) may do the trick.

They would have to go to 11, of course.

    No, I didn't. I just edited in the '11.'

Seriously though, the stockers look stupid and I never even touch these. I think my wife had used the Tune knob a few times. We mainly hit the touch screen or wheel controls.

So what is the diameter of the flat? Is it large enough for custom engraving like you do to the tops of the knobs? Toyota logo, TEQ logo, V and T, dickbutts...???

No clue, but I do plan to throw a few of those saved .dxf files on there tomorrow as a test to see how the engravings will look. If it's too cramped I'll just remove more from the face to enlarge the canvas.

If you're looking for demand, I'm in too :)

I almost never actually use the radio knobs (just the wheel controls), but it'll certainly look good.

    :D

Yeah, they might be, at that. I sort of recall another thread mentioning that some earlier Rav4 knobs would fit the 2020, not sure if that would still be a match in this case, though.

I'll maintain my interest, in case they might actually fit (or could be tweaked a bit to do so).
