Same for me, honestly. My shim method and explanation is really just to explain what to do, conceptually ... and offer a clean solution. Anymore, I just stuff wads of paper down there willy-nilly until it works, but only because I always have some paper laying around in the cab and I'm too lazy to head into the garage to cut shims.

My vehicle registration card has all the edges torn off, ha.

Well, if I can get ok from Richard to sell I have this stainless V1. I sold my 2019 Off Road Tacoma a couple months ago and kept this.

    Awesome! Feeding frenzy!

Just by note however, I believe that is a v2 not a v1

    Sure, don't mind at all.

You had it right, it's a V2 hybrid - SS w/ aluminum core. The collar is also stainless.

Negative. V2 designation can be for AT or MT, but this one is AT only.

Excuse me for butting in on the technical designation of v1 vs v2...it must be known by at least EVERYONE that the AT collar is an epitrochoidal shape vs the MT which is mos definitely NOT epitrochoidal

    C'mon guys...this is Rick101 shit here...

I'm surprised hasn't been yoked up yet tbh

Road tripping! Left Saturday and drove the coast (mostly) to San Diego. Had a killer visit with @daveeasa . And, just arrived and unloaded in Phoenix.

The Taco was a champ hauling ass and about 1,000lb (maybe?) through some fun canyons and highway blasts.
