:rofl::rofl: That gets my vote also.

    Speaking of Enya:

I really doubt that they are using a CMM for the design or QC. From the sounds of it, they might be using a Stanley Powerlock and calling it good?

I'm just saying that anything popping out of your shop will be consistent, and I would bet, would get the job done.

Hey, how did I get dragged into this?!?!?

By the way, the song is actually called Orinoco Flow. :anonymous:

Yeah, sort of like that Phil Collins' song isn't called the Miami Vice So. . .

Hey, wait a minute. That is some deep Enya (or is it on Enya) knowledge you have?

Hahaha, I didn't even see that post ... too funny.

Guess I would have to take a look at the stock parts to determine if it is doable for me. *Inb4 innuendos*. If the shaft is straight enough/on a single centerline it would be easy enough for me to confide in my digital readout on the lathe for adequate repeatability. I'm super anal though, when I reverse engineer something I like to get measurements for my shaft that are several times more accurate than required to manufacture it.

Oh man! This could turn into a Friday thread.

Other than the taper, I believe the shaft is straight from the pics that I have seen. If I was feeling really sporty, it would be cool if the shaft hung to the left a bit? o_O Dogleg, you know. :der:

I bet that you would have a couple decimal places on the other one. :help:

BTW, I reoriented the phone mount for the next time I do an impromptu video. That would have been great to get straight on, as well as some of the other screwing around.

Some shafts may be straight, some curved ... Tacos usually don't mind as long as it isn't extreme.

    Thanks! I did not.

Looking now, they don't show anything for Tacos past 2009. I'd guess that they would work for all 2nd Gens?

Reading the URD treads (haha!), there are some differences for the 3rd Gens, which is part of the problem since the included instructions are for the 2nd Gens. I'm certain that I could figure that part out, but it is the posts about inconsistent quality and fit up that worry me.

    :notsure:
They have kick ass CS, though. Call em up and ask. They actually talk to you on the phone, weird as fuck, I know. And you can understand them!!!!
I'd rather get a LCE short shift to go with my LCE clutch kit and soon-ish LCE header, over a URD.

Shipping the current batch at the end of this week, starting the next batch on Saturday ... and the 5 slots are full already! Anyone ordering from here on out will have about 4-5wk lead time.

works for me. I'll get with you soon. the powdercoat on my current custom knob just spoke up and showed me it's not powder but actually paint, and it's peeling right on top on the engraving. ugh.

    next stop: doing it right.

I was thinking of doing a finish before... but as it would turn out, I really like it... raw...

At some point we're gonna go too far with this.
