Is there a picture how to or video of the whole process? I am sure there is but I am not coming across it- just want to get things ready for when the knob makes it to Texas

There is one for the 2nd Gen, but not for 3rd. The attached .pdf found through the (*** -->install post< --***) has plenty of pictures and should get you there with ease.

I will eventually tackle the tutorial myself, unless somebody beats me to it.

I would have done it already but I do not have an engine hoist or a tig welder to show how it is properly done. (kidding)

Holy crap- the plastic piece that covers the brake and shift knob just pops out so easily.... ohhhhhh- my bad- thought it was way more complicated

Nope. That is a piece of cake, as is the headunit surround, glovebox, and such. Access in the console and dash made it easy to install stuff like the front camera harness, @MESO switch panel, switch wiring, and the 2Lo Mod (2LM).

Yessir, I see that now. I guess I had in mind the 99 4runner I just had apart and was afraid there were a few steps to get this ready for the new shift knob today. Not the case. Nice...

Ever since I saw the side access on the GFC design (not to mention cabana mode) and how folks say that it is a killer feature, I have been stuck on it. The problem is that GFCs are $$$$. I priced out some canopies with side windoors and got sticker shock also. It doesn't help that I now see non-commercial canopies with side windoors everywhere. Plus, I just don't have space to store a hard topper of any kind.

So while a softtopper might not be the best looking, the functionality and features are what I need in a price that I can afford with some PayPal 6mo free financing. :D

4 out of 5 is way better than 2 out of 5. :D

I am amazed... incredible work. The extra weight just feels right with the shift throws- the collar finally got rid of my ugly rubber grommet and looks oem- wow, just wow- well worth the weight <~~~~ get it

Got mine today, but didn't have time to get the engraving indexed or swap the collar. Looks good, feels good. Love the Titanium. I'll finish the install this weekend and have a chance to try it out.

I had to swap out the carb on my mower because the one on it was too far gone to just rebuild. I attempted to mow the lawn and had a run in with a yellow jacket nest. 2 stings on my forearm and one on my shouldder. Fuckers. I'm still breathing and haven't broken out in hives yet so I guess I'm good.

I lied. I pulled the boot out with the trim ring. There's only like 6 screws and I didn't feel like screwing around and contorting myself to do it in the truck.

I opted to use safety wire instead of the zip tie(s). I did two wraps, clipped it off at about 1/4" and pressed it down into the groove of the delrin ring. I was considering throwing a piece of heatshrink around it, but I don't think it will be an issue. They are well below the surface.
