When the weather calms down a bit and i see constant 10+ Celsius I'm thinking about completing my custom door panels.

I have some additional available space and figured i could make use of it for something function for out in the bush or wheeling.

I was thinking about wiring in/ creating charging ports sunk obviously into the door panel to house 2-3 12 or 18v lithium ion batteries for cordless drills etc

Im currently playing around with the idea of using a 2x2 40W led pod as a basis to build a camp flash light/ usb charging unit to be powered by these batteries

What other things can i incorporate into the door that will sever good functional usage of the space ?

For my rear doors, as i don't use rear fill what so ever i thought about creating compartments to house tool "kits" etc so basically, if i need a wrench i open the door, pull it out of the created pocket and boom done

Not a bad idea. Some lighting tied into the dome light circuit might be pretty useful. Open the door and on the underside of the door panel some wicked bright LEDs could illuminate the ground underneath the truck.

DAmn yeah, that could be something i can do additionally. Would make life much easier for sure. Flood type LEDs all online the bottom of the panel! Im sold!

I want to make the truck as well laid out and user friendly as possible.
A portion of my sub box( not same compartment) is also serving as a drawer for plano boxes on one side and possible my air tools and connections on the other side...

Expanding foam will be my best friend :)
