Thanks man , pure respect for you too , riverat's grilles look top notch as well , is he still making them though ? Haven't seen him in a while

 

Jim's retired & from what I understand he only does them once in a while now.
He made a badass design out of one of those pesky 2011 though... left the honeycomb and deleted the center rail - very original.

Here's mine. I ordered the mesh from Craig and, after a lot of reading, did the work myself. Came out pretty good for a rookie. And I haven't seen another one like it in town.

 

Cool, like I said it'll be about 6 weeks so this might pop up out of nowhere in a while

I'm about to be posting up my 2012+. I have one finished and ready to swap the inner on a local truck and another on my bench I'm about to hit with fine paper.

The first one took a bit, the second I should have about 10 hrs into. Hoping by the 5th to have it around 4-5. Still have to figure price and options. Since the outer can be swapped so much easier on these and the price of the raw grill is higher, there may be a little price break for people who already have a color matched outer. Then possible sell the outers for people who want to color match but not satoshi.

I'll just be doing these part time like I do the older ones.

Here is my test fit with the outer not painted. I'll be putting the factory outer on the new inner. White balance is slightly off in the picture, it is a bronze paint, not orange.

I read an article somewhere that said 2015 Tacomas come stock with a Raptor grill. I'm sure it would be a package thing but has anyone else heard this too?

 

At least the Pro version will have something similar, but I wouldn't necessarily consider it a real Raptop style. The letters are to small and the center bar kinda distracts from the "Raptor" style.

 

Yeah it's just like a retro toyota grille , would be sick if they actually had a stock raptor style

I ordered 2 grills back in December and between having to travel for work and it being butt cold in the garage, I finished that one a little over a week ago. Waiting on Arrowshot to bring his truck over to change out the outer and mount it up.

I'm still getting my patterns and techniques squared away for them, but I enjoy the challenge. Truth of the matter, I find it very calming to go out in the garage and spend a little time working on them. Now that the weather is changing though, yard work is starting to pick up.

I've got 3 of them sitting around in various stages of build.
Trying to find the time to get the DIY mesh kit finalized for everyone.
Ive got the prototype knocked out i just need the corresponding write-up and of course produce more of them.
Lately the 4Runner has been my r&d project.
