Custom LED Map and Dome lights

Big difference lol

 

So once my overhead master switch was replaced, my interior lights turn on and off with the doors again. Don't try to replace this stuff with power still even possible to turn on. The ultimate dome adapter is crafty, but easy to direct in between the tines that hold it and the metal of the frame, causing a short. Not a problem to do with the design, just the person placing it.
My future with any electrical mod is going to involve removal of negative from terminal and placing a dry towel under it to make sure that no juice is flowing. Now my ultimate red dome and v1 red maps are in, and look awesome! My sons are going to feel like little SEALs! Thanks Meso.

BTW - the dome adapter has polarity, but cannot remember if it was red or black to driver side on mine.

Always a chance to break the little tabs, just PM me I ship new ones at no cost. Just remember they really aren't meant to take in/out/in/out. And if you do, be careful and push from the inside STRAIGHT down. Prying from the outside at an angle can cause above effect.

 

What I like about the ultimate maps versus the regular map with LED is that the ultimate light faces more straight down which actually cuts down on the side glare .

Damn the ultimate dome light is bright! Date I say..too...bright?!

Well maybe not to me but my 4 year olds eyes are not in agreement lol

I wanna keep em, any suggestions to soften the light slightly and still keep the clean look?

Awesome, Just ordered the ultimate map light in red! Going to keep the dome light white for now and see how they compare.

Just ordered the v2 map lights in red and ultimate dome in red, these look awesome, can't wait!

 

Guys, I know this is a really dumb question, but where do the map lights plug into? Don't see any obvious location or existing harness that seems to fit. Got the overhead console off and the old bulb and housing out. Sorry if I missed a post that discussed this but did look through previous post.

EDIT: figured it out -- duh! Thought this was bypassing the original circuit board at first for some reason. Also was thrown at first by one of the lights being on all the time and only then realized the map lights had push on/off feature. LOL. I'm a happy camper now. It's all working.

Got the dome light installed too and it's amazingly bright!

I missed that you take the bulb out of the socket the first time and V1 lights plug right into it and go back in the oem housing but eventually figured it out.

 

Where is the V2 map lights link to order at?
