Curious to how the ultimate red maps and dome look paired together? Too much red? Currently have the red dome but debating on white or red maps if I’m lucky enough to snag a set.

I like the red for driving at night when the wife needs to look in her purse or the fast food menus on the way home from work. They are still bright enough to search for things on the floor yet not too harsh. Plus it definitely goes with my personality.

But here's a sneak peak of my new dual color 2G maps. They are a little more time consuming, so I'll prob only make a limited number of them. Now just need to find a way to do it in the 3Gs..

 

Or, as the map's on the 3rd gen's are much smaller, perhaps just a dual colour dome?

 

Just to double check, these will be dropping in this thread as well?

2nd Gen Guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

MESO Customs first off, customer service wise, no close seconds to him. Fit and finish, superior. Quality? Hands down top notch

Gasshole, map lights, and ultimate dome light installed in minutes!

I will start with the dome light. There is a small notch on the drivers side where a small flat head will fit, pry there and the whole cover will fall or pull down and hang on the passengers side. MESO includes a small clip for his “cover/light” which will only go in one way, this clip is what allows his unit to hang like OEM.
As far as connecting the bulb, I put the red lead on the drivers side and black on the passenger side. As far as how bright this thing is, remember when you were told as a kid to not stare into the sun? Well how do you think those ants felt when you were magnifying that same light and melting them?

Now onto the map lights
Use the same small flat head and insert it beside the lens on the edge that faces the outside of the truck. Push the screwdriver up towards the headliner and the side of the lens is loose. The lens pulls off at a 45 degree angle, just FYI. So you don’t break any tabs, on the MESO set, who cares about the junky OEM ones lol.
On the wires I put the red wire toward the fron of the truck. I also taped around the connector just for good measure so they shouldn’t come loose in there. I also pulled out the OEM reflector bowl just to make more room in there. This wasn’t needed and you don’t have to, but it sure does make a lot of extra room for the connector and wire.
Output wise, if you can’t find it with these lights on, it’s lost forever!!!!!!
