Red map lights arrived today. Install was easier then expected took about 10-15 min. Thanks to the post on how to do it.

No broken clips on overhead panel. The lights are working good. Now for the night time test of my all red interior lights!

Disconnect negative terminal before you start!

 

Just installed the dome, but I had to abandon the spring. After several tries compressing the spring, the little plunger broke and getting it to seat with the spring after that seemed near impossible. So i removed the spring and glued the two ends together. Fit perfectly after that.

 

Maps came and installed today! Pair great with the dome. So much light!
Now waiting for taillights

Super easy. I started by popping out the lens covers first. Then pull the whole top cluster out. Like most people say you might feel like you are going to break something but trust me you won’t. Once you have that off then twist the bulb housing out from the back and once those are out remove the actual bulb from the small black plastic housing. Then insert the meso white plug into the black bulb housing and reinstall. Test before putting back together if no light then just reverse the plug and test again. Took like 10 min max.

 

Installed the red map lights using the "pull out the overhead console" method. Super easy to get done, under 5 min. Just tested them out and it's a great setup. Thanks @mesojdm!

Super easy to install the map light. Had to switch the socket but other than that no hitch whatsoever. Ordered on Friday and got them Monday here in socal. Patiently waiting for the dome light now. Kinda wish I ordered the red map light tho but oh well lol.

So has anybody installed the map lights with this Panel? Not sure it just pops off but not sure why it wouldn’t, just don’t want to break sumpthin. Thanks

 

you have to pull the entire panel down. I started by the light, it snaps out.
