Custom LED Map and Dome lights

Just upgraded the interior lights of the Tacoma to LED. I’ve heard of this company for a good minute now and finally decided to pull the trigger.

Any 2nd gen stuff being manufactured anytime soon?

 

Just bringing this up from way back because it’s something I want to do.
However, since the lights seem to fit other models too, I am wondering if another dome assembly from a different model with the three position switch will fit in the taco.

 

Must be a 3rd gen thing. On my 2015 maps only come if you push them on and the dome has the option of on,off or door.

 

Are these for 3rd Gen only?

 

The ones you have been seeing lately are, yes. He does sell 2nd gen. Sold out right now and haven’t seen much of another batch. If you go to his webset and click 2nd gen you’ll see them. Sign up for email notifications. He gauges products that way, more sign ups more likely he’ll get around to making some

 

I've fit these to my 2nd gen with about 10 minutes of modifications(aka dremel)

he has some neat product, but if he is basing production runs on email requests that’s not good. I emailed months ago and have heard nothing.

 

Best part of ordering from MESO his shop is in Yuba city and I’m in Sacramento I get my stuff the day after I order it haha I feel SO lucky!!

 

I don’t think he’s bashing at all. I think it’s more the demand of a product. I could be wrong buts it’s logical to gauge a demand on something to make it worth sourcing effort to make it. Could be a variety of reason. His printer are busy with other products he has been developing. Source parts and material might not be as readily available. I’m sure more things have a okay in it. He has made them before with multiple batches. I mean he just recently got a mold of the 3rd gen stuff. I’m sure it’s still on his radar

Maybe I misunderstood what you typed, but he's not basing production runs on emails received... It's on the amount of people signed up for email notifications on the products on his website. I don't know if he prioritizes one item over another based on this, but I do know he used it to guage color interest on the key fobs and quantity on his third run of puddle pods.

 

I guess what i was getting at, is that I and many others would like to buy some of his products for 2nd gen. But he hasn’t had 90% percent of that stuff available for months. He current has 9 products for 2nd gen and only 2 are available to purchase and its been that way for months. So either he can’t keep up with production or he’s just not manufacturing any. I’ve emailed at least 3 times about the maps and domes and no response. A few guys including me have asked about it in this thread and he has no response. Hopefully he’ll figure it out but I won’t hold my breath.

 

Last I saw, I think he's working on getting the 2nd gen map and domes setup with the injection molds too, which should help with keeping inventory up. I don't keep up with 2nd gen much, but I'm assuming most of it is still 3d printed right now.

is anyone else a dumbass like me and blind yourself with the maps because you can't help but look at them when getting in...glad i found some reds...can't imagine the brightness of the whites...
