Custom LED Map and Dome lights

My second revised stage 2 DIY red Stealth shift knob will be here tomorrow. Thinking my first batch S2 red DIY kit will be the first lotto of at least a few.

Still deciding on exactly how to go about it. Want to make it fun but also have a good balance for entries. Single entry for (1) name in a hat draw maybe (+2) for active or veteran service, teachers, social workers etc. Don’t want to exclude anyone but some honor system needs to be made aware. I acknowledge some are more fortunate people may win but can’t hold too many limitations. Also make a stipulation if you decide it’s not for you or sell the truck it should be regifted. I can’t make anyone give it away but at least make an effort to keep it going.

Thought I'd share my moment of stupidity for a few laughs. I'm at work right now, and had this tab open along with the ECT knob thread. Started doing something else for a few mins and came back to reading thinking I was still on the ECT thread page and my mind was blown thinking WHATTT THERES GOING TO BE A HI/LOW FOR THE ECT?! HOW?!? ..... Then I realized what I was reading

 

You didn’t get the ECT version 2 with that feature?

Well I only broke one red tab but looks awesome. Not sure how to upload photos on here. Btw is there a code or whatever for these red tabs ? Need to order replacement off Amazon I'm guessing

 

@MESO sorry if I missed it but when are the new version of the dome lights going to be available to purchase?

 

Just installed my ultimate map lights. Absolutely love them. Just wish I had the map lights to install the map lights. Lol. Great work guys. They make Meso horny.

 

Is a dimming combo (red/white) @MESO dome on the drawing table?

 

For the single color.. yes. The middle button will toggle different brightness.
For the dual color.. I’m not sure. The button might just toggle the color.
Reason being, the all white is FREAKIN BRIGHT. Especially now I added 2 more rows of lights(in the middle) along with better LED chips/components. A dim mode is necessary.

The dual color I feel if the white is too bright, you can switch to the red output.

Here’s a sneak peak of the revised ultimate dome light. New redesigned board with LED drivers instead of resistors. also the dual color, the white will be more of a Halo which looks pretty rad.

 

Sometimes a dim white is desirable, sometimes a red light is preferred.

Please consider adding both options in your dimmable combo dome.

 

Is a gray bezel going to be an option, or are they going to all be black?
Alternatively, will it be easy to separate the bezel so we can paint it?

 

Hay Meso, didn't you start making your map lights that can switch back and forth between white and red? my reds are starting to clicker. So I was thinking of putting the ones I just asked you about in????

Lol the maps are so damn bright. I’m waiting for the domes to come out and then I’m going to swap my old LEDs and lenses back in the maps.
