Custom LED Map and Dome lights

Hey guys, been out of the game for a short bit, at the moment I have both the white and red dome/map lights. In regards to the dual color, are the the same brightness as the current ones I have? And in regards to the ones that have two brightness settings, I’m assuming one is dim and the other setting the same brightness as the normal stand alone colors? Thanks , sorry if I missed it.

 

I'm curious about the difference between the two models too in terms of intensity and color. Following....

 

The dual color dome will not be the same brightness as each of your current individual colored domes. They will still be bright but sacrificing LED's for a dual color function is the plus. Give and take


for the DIM ~ two brightness option, yes, as I understand it, it will be a dim setting and the full bright output will be the same as the current - if not damn near close

I'll post some light light pics and LUX numbers soon. But you will be very pleased with the output of the new V2's.

V2 Dual color:
RED mode=almost as bright as the V1 ALL RED.
WHITE mode=~2X brighter than the V1 ALL WHITE

V2 Dual Brightness:
Low mode= ~75%brightness than V1 (white)
High mode=2-3X brighter than V1(white)


So basically the new dual color is better than both of the original Red and white domes combined in one.
For those that don't care about red, that's why I made the dual brightness. In HIGH mode it smokes the previous V1. For people that complained they were TOO bright, it has the LOW mode which is dimmer than the V1 at full output

 

3-4x brighter on high mode! Holy hell fire

 

Maybe I missed it, but does dual brightness default to high or low? Or does it stay at whatever you selected? Guess I’m asking if I’ll need my sunglasses in the morning when I open the truck door

 

If I had to guess... it will turn on at what ever position the selector button is left in.

TOP: V2 Dual color
MIDDLE: V1 RED
BOTTOM: V1 WHITE

Quick output readings
V1 red. 21lux @ 5ft


V2 Dual Color(red mode); 20LUX @5ft


V1 WHITE 121lux @5ft


V2 DUAL COLOR(white mode) 160LUX @ 5ft


Red is about even, white isn't nearly double like I thought but a ~30% increase and having both colors in 1 is impressive
I'll do the dual brightness next.

 

This thread moves so fast and we are all crazy excited for this release so I may have missed the posting but is there any word on dual maps?
