This button got jammed on install. Would not let me use my rocker switch or deactivate on normal press. The lights just stayed on regardless of switch positions. I thought I had burned the overhead even with disconnect somehow. Thankfully all I had to do was remove them and press the switch in again before I got them to function properly. All good now but also have double press activation.

    The passengers look thrilled!

I also got around to installing mine. Absolutely love them, really completes the dome and map dual color package.

There are some stuff that I have encountered during the install, that might be helpful to know.

As mentioned by others, I also have the issue with having to double press the switch to change colors.

Only happens when doing the initial change, and only from red to white, every press afterwards switches instantly. With map lights only, only the driver side requires two presses to switch colors. With both maps and dome lights, both sides require two presses to switch from red to white.

I am also experiencing residual charge only for the white leds on the passenger side. They go away by pressing the switch with nothing powered or waiting after about 1 minute. Noticed this too on the dome light for only 2 white leds, seems to take a lot longer to dissipate.

I'm having this issue with my new dual color dome. I submitted a ticket at the link above and currently communicating with Austin. Thanks for having such a responsive team.

Is there a way for me to bypass the diode bridge myself? I'm comfortable moving and soldering a lead if that's all it takes.

Curious for more detail on bypassing the diode bridge? That's the part which allows the bulb terminal to go either way? So bypassing it would mean you have to get the polarity right (one time installation detail) and then maybe less voltage tolerance trouble?

Mine has the problem of not switching while truck is off, going to test with truck on today, I assume it'll work fine. Bummer is it's kind of nice to switch while parked without starting the truck so simple fix would make me happy there...

Awesome, sounds like what I thought, but we have no specifics on how to bypass yet?

I can totally see why the diode bridge is useful for 99% of the people out there who get confused when an LED doesn't work due to polarity. I'd be 100% game to bypass that part. We don't have any details on how to do so yet? I can take a closer look at my dual brightness one to see.

Yeah, no details that I could find. I was hoping it was something I could do myself and not have to send it on a round trip journey to the Meso HQ/Hideout.

Here's some photos of the original and the replacement. It looks like desoldering the diode bridge and moving the leads are the only changes. It switches colors with the engine off now.

Yup. Easy fix and it's been 100% effective. Some trucks where the voltage isn't quite enough.. add the tolerance the diode bridge adds, and it can have a little trouble switching. Bypassing it is effective all the way down to ~10V the only catch is you will have to install it + to + as it's polarity specific now.

My dome light would never ever switch colors, I just did this, now if I press it 10 times it'll swap. At least it's sort of working. Sucks I never got a response from Meso. I bought two of these same issue..

I received a response through the ticketing system on their website. They are pretty busy right now with the V5 turns, maybe try again? https://mesocustoms.com/pages/help
