    seeing how the ultimates are slightly recessed, how blinding are they for the driver? I don't really want red, but I had super white bright lights in my 99 and it was so inconvenient when driving blinded the hell out of me(course I didn't have map lights, just a dome light)

    I had pulled the console to add a wire harness for a added homelink mirror, so I went ahead and installed the V1’s at the same time. Two of the clips were bugered up, so I’ll probably pull it again when installing the V2’s and replace the bad clips.

    I don't think anything is more blinding than the led bulbs in my visor mirrors. They are basically too bright to use the mirrors at night. So I just don't apply lipstick or make-up in the truck :rofl:

    Why would you pull the whole console when you can just take out the lenses and pop in the new ones.

    You can pull the console down in seconds with zero risk to breaking or cracking anything and if a clip gets mangled it's almost nothing to replace. Gouge your console.... tears.

    I should be good. I just upgraded from a 1200 baud modem to a 4800 baud modem I picked up for practically nothing. SCORE!!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

    I tried everything and ultimately had to pull the console. Made everything so much easier. I guess if you have needle nose shaped fingers and are a tape ninja no need. I have sausages for fingers and ultimately wound up like this with the tape:

    I pulled that console down about 12 times now and the clips are still intact. Doubt you’ll need them but good idea!
