So I've been looking for a simple headache rack to work with my tonneau cover (fold a cover g4 elite) but couldn't find anyone online that made anything that I liked. So I asked a local metal shop to fab something up for me out of aluminum seeing as how I don't carry that much weight and don't think I'd use it for anything major. I wanted something out of one piece rectangular tubing to fit just on the outside of the cover on the bed rails with a bracket going under it and attaching to the tie down track.

^^This is the same amount of room I have on the side of my cover as well.(not my truck in the pic)

^^I was looking for something similar to that but without that ugly spider net thing and second inside layer, Just one tube running up and over and back down. and of course some cleats up top that can just be bolted on so nothing slides off.

    So couple questions:

Is there a weight limit on those tracks in the bed?

Anyone have a good guestimate on how much they think this really costs? My estimate they gave me was $200 for aluminum and about half that for steel and $300+ for stainless...

Any good ideas on bar light mounts that would clear the antenna/ top of roof without making this thing too tall?
