Thanks for pointing this out. WTF... why do 2nd gen's have to have so many variations. I went though this with the Gassholes. Maybe I should just stick to 3rd Gen stuff:frusty:.

So it looks like I'll have to revise this. My whole goal is to have 1 "footprint" panel that will snap into either front or rear pocket and fit all 2nd Gen models. Then I can make whatever holes/cutouts your guys prefer. i.e; Switchpro, rocker switches, push button, or even a solid blank for someone that wants a custom DIY.

I'm now thinking of having a complete replacement panel. Remove the old flip down(useless now anyway) and drop this one right in.
That's why we'ere here for collective brainstorming design:D
Let me know some more ideas!

A spot that mounts to the dash by the driver A pillar to house an ultra gauge or a bully dog tuner. I’m still in for the overhead switch housings, possibly 2!!!

    Take 2.

You will have to completely remove the original flip down tray. My new proposed version will sit snug into the existing hole, with a screw on each side going through the factory console into the switch panel.

So a screw from the outside (back side of the cubbie space) on into the cubbie plastic and then into the switch panel hole?

These look legit. If I didn't already have an overhead panel I'd be down. But I might look into one of the blank versions when available...would make a nice gauge mount I think.

Maybe small rivets to hold it?

Sorry, but that pic triggers my OCD.

Yes. You will have to pull the console down to run/make a hole for wires... so I figured this was the easiest, and cleanest solution. I wanted a screw straight up into the panel, but the 2 compartments are different depth, so this made it universal mounting for either location.
    Something like this
