    I don't.
There are at least 6 pillars you can route wire down.
Shortest path isn't the only path.

You literally just need 1 power wire jumpered to the switches since that’s all the switches will likely be good for as they are low amperage rated. So one jumpered power, 12 individual wires as specific accessory triggers, one wire jumpered as light circuit 12v+ and then jumpered ground. Maybe ground for Illumination also depending if trying to do dimmable or solid lighting. Really it’s not that many wires and the A-pillar has plenty of room. My wire bundle for 6 overhead switches fits well within 1/2” woven wire loom.

Where would y’all tap in to get dimmable lighting to the switches and ignition on command?

For backlighting I tapped the illumination circuit of one of the top row switches on the left hand side of the steering wheel then ran the wires up the A-pillar.

Ignition on command? Are you asking where to get ignition 12v+ for switch power? If so, probably just an add-a-circuit to the fuse box if you have space or don’t already have a ton of those crowding the area.

More than enough room up the A-pillar. In my 3rd gen I actually have a 9 conductor 18awg wire bundle(speedwire) for my overhead switches AND a 7 conductor 10gauge wiring loom that goes out the top of my roof for my rack lights.
And I crammed it all down the drivers A pillar.

Also, you guys sure there isn’t an illumination wire already up in the overhead console wiring bundle?

    Tell you whut...
You send me the ultragauge for dimensions/test fitting and I’ll send it back to you WITH a free custom made panel;)

    Never enough
That’s awesome of you to do. When you’re designing the panel be sure to remember that the user will need quick/easy access to the back side of the ultra gauge for the buttons.
