I've seen quite a few guys say they have had things done to their seats to make them more comfortable and want to know how you guys went about it.

At this point I know my seat is too high. I'm 6'2 and I feel like I'm looking through the top of my windshield. Secondly I know it isn't comfortable but I'm not sure why, possibly not wide enough, it wings up at the edges and I feel like I'm constantly sitting on them.

How did you guys who had foam added/removed/reshaped know what exactly you wanted done?

took mine to a local upholstery shop experienced in tweaking auto seats. they carved out as much structural foam from the underside as they could to both drop my position and carve a bucket... the base was far too flat for me and it made my right leg numb about every drive. then they added some light foam to take up the slack for aesthetics. they nailed it. $200 for my side, wife didn't care, saved the cost there.

Jay's Upholstery in Denton, Texas. great guys over there. if you're local you can check my seat if you want. (i see you're not local, oh well, good luck)

Mine seems to be firm, but my right hip gets sore on longer rides. Any pattern to where its uncomfortable for folks, right or left side? I'm used to the low seating position ~ all my tacos have been like that.

I'm a center console leaner. so naturally I'm on my right hip. I can't say I get sore but I just can never settle in.

Thanks for the input guys. I'll have to consider it for sure. Just concerned I'll have it done then realize maybe what I thought was bothering me wasn't actually bothering me. I'll probably start spitballing with some local upholstery guys.
