Well, the lathe and materials Im using are at work so I really cant make too many. My plan is to make a few different ones and pick the one I like best. Whatever I have leftover I'll post on here and see if anyone is interested in them.
Im bored so Im gonna go paint the grooves in the smaller one black and see how it comes out. I'll be back with pics.:D

Ok. I am terrible at taping, but it looks decent. Here it is next to the other one.

If you have access to a lathe you could make an adapter pretty easily. Just make the male end 12x1.25 or whatever the manual thread is then the female 8x1.25.Below is an example of what Im kinda talking about. Thread_Adapter2_5d8238b0bbcbc6f39ada6e1b652f3f8fe7840500.jpg
Just an idea for anyone with an auto who really wants a TRD knob.

That's the first thing I thought of when I was reading through this. The devil horns logo right on top to be exact. That'd be sick IMO. Do you know how to program? What software do you guys use at work?

You could hollow the handle out for a stash spot. Or mount a compass on the top. Or a LED of some sort to light up.

Maybe instead of painting you could just get some O rings that would fit the grooves really nice. Does your shop send out parts to get anodized? It's be pretty sweet to get it anodized and then cut the grooves in or the design on top. I guess it may fade but you could do a color then the clear hard coat.

Well, you've given me the bug. I want to make one now.

That's a killer idea. Take a pic and post it up!

Yeah I can program some, I'm still learning. We use featurecam. I'm gonna play around a bit this week and see what I can come up with, workload permitting of course.

How do you like this shifter knob? I just ordered the URD short throw shifter and am thinking of getting this knob to go with it. Any more pics from back a bit farther? Cheers!
