Custom carpeted riser for multi-level storage or sleep platform for 2016-2018 short bed Toyota Tacoma. Includes extension section for tall people that might use it as a sleeping platform.

Located in West Tennessee (just outside of Memphis). Not willing to ship this (for obvious reasons).

 

How is the extension held to the main platform? Is it a hinge? Does it flip up when you close the tailgate? I’m kind of thinking this could either drop into a 2nd Gen or take minor modification to get it in there.

 

The extension actually detaches and slides under the floating platform when not in use. Because of the shape of the back window of the topper and because the extension is “square,” it can not flip over on top of the platform. It was more important to me that the extension have maximum surface area, so it is the shape of the tailgate.
