@lapoltba I guess what I had in mind wasn't exactly PNP, but just a way of avoiding splicing/tapping into factory wiring. This is what I was expecting:

    upload_2019-7-18_11-51-4.jpg

Would something like that be a lot easier to source/make?

I wouldn't mind splicing into the aftermarket switch. I would want to avoid splicing into an OEM wiring harness.

Same here. Any switch already has flying leads. I was just wanting to avoid tapping into OEM stuff.

I built pretty much the same thing for my cb radio switch. But I used the ECT buttons lights since I could get ECT plugs easy.
It plugs inline with the ECT switch and gave me a power and ground for the other switch.

Killing me lol. I just gathered all the part numbers to do exactly this behind the cargo light. Alright, I’m in IF it’s behind the cargo switch and if it’s multiple switches. I have 4 there.

Yeah, consensus looks like we will have at least 3 part numbers. One for the 4x4 switch, one for the cargo light switch, one "expansion" for linking up to a switch for people that don't want to do any splicing/soldering. Anyone know if the 4x4 mode switch wiring harness is still present in 2wd trucks? May have to find another solution for them. There are several plugs in that part of the dash, I'm going to see if there is an alternative that works for both 2wd and 4wd.

Only assuming here, but is it safe to assume those of us that have a need to dim an aftermarket switches is somewhat comfortable with splicing wire?

I'm excited about something like this, since I just installed a ch4x4 switch.

Plug and play is always great!! But I think the next best thing is not having to cut OEM wire.

Either way count me in. Thanks to @lapoltba for doing this!!!

I would agree. I doubt it will be done by the time I install my lights BUT I think it’s one of those great little TW nitch items that will get routinely thrown around the forum as a good solution.

I'm definitely in for a PNP solution for both sides. I have 3 on both sides I want to do in the future

    Great idea man

Yeah. I’ll eventually get to it but if you want to go ahead and do some group buys here go for it :) doesn’t bother me. I love that OP did this
