Homelink is only standard on limited and pro models. Every other model had a compass mirror or maybe even just a regular mirror. People basically want to hide their remote to free up space in their cubby or anywhere else they may have it sitting.

    I understand that.
Since homelink is the add -on accessory for Limited and Pros, the question of it's compatibility with the mod is a moot point.
Much like asking is "Lake Whach-a-coochi compatible with Lake Michigan?"
The mod and Homelink are equivalent/similar (they serve same function).
A compatibility question would be "Does my model xyx garage door opener work with Homelink?"

My point was the question "Is it homelink compatible?" was not really what @Atl-atl likely trying/wanting to ask. More likely he meant "Does this work like or as well as homelink?" I was looking for him to clarify the question in order for us to provide the answer(s) he was looking for. Just in case that was not where he was trying to go with his question.

I apologize if my previous post was unclear and lead anyone astray.

No apology necessary. My initial question/hope was that an aftermarket button existed that functioned the same way a homelink does. I have learned the answer is 'no' but you can modify a garage door opener to hide it and use your own button, as is done in the writeup that was linked. I still like this and ordered the button just in case I go for it. Would be rad if Homelink themselves would offer industry-standard-sized switches so people could integrate homelink into their vehicles somewhere other than the visor or mirror. Some people want to DIY things and not just for cost savings or even space savings, just because they want to make it their own.

I stumbled across this, UNIVERSAL HOMELINK ADD ON

I am not endorsing the product or the site as I have no experience with either. With that said, This may offer more function for those that did not get a Homelink mirror. It looks like it could easily be mounted on a plate over the left cubby. I am sure that, IF demand existed @mesojdm could design a panel to include a mounting spot for this.

    Best of luck!!

Lemme show you what you get!

I finally got mine installed moments ago.

    IMG_20180924_190546.jpg

My apologies, but I forgot to take a pic before I epoxied it on.

I might have been confused, but I expected the stock panel to be sort of like @mesojdm 's, I would have had to just hack it out and enlarge the opening. On my 4 slot Sport, there was no secondary panel, just the main piece. So, I went after it with a utility knife, only removing the HVAC panel and stock buttons. I tried to leave some central vertical ribs, but only 1.5 made it through the hacking. I used JB Quik Weld and was done in about 1.5hrs total.

    Thanks Meso!

Has anyone found a wide switch option for the clutch start cancel on MT trucks? I'll grab a CP6.1W if only I can solve this one problem. Need a tall slot for the factory clutch start button. Or replace the switch..

@mesojdm do you have a solution to add these switches where the ECT button is? Are these the same size as the ECT button size?

@mesojdm Is there a way to be alerted when the Lower 7 Switch Panel and the Small blanks will be available again?

Been trying to purchase these for some time now!

I thought that as well, but once I attempt to checkout it says “Sorry, your items aren’t available at this time.” It also shows an image saying sold out above that statement.

If you look at post #861 (1st post on prev page) @mesojdm explains it's on hold temporarily while he irons out everything for his new business and website.
As I personally have almost everything he makes, I would simply recommend regularly checking his website and being patient. His stuff is top quality and you won't regret the wait, it's well worth it.
