I got my custom made cover for my TRD CAI today. PM Coupe over on XRU if you want one. Really love the new look. Thanks Coupe! He included new hardware and some nice instructions, even some blue loc-tite.

^ It's custom so it's kind of pricey. Eh, I don't drink so my money goes towards my truck.

    That looks freaking awesome!

Can someone just explain to me why people spend money or time decorating the inside of the engine compartment? I'm not trying to bash at all, just wanting to know the line of thought on how people justify it!

    Thanks all!

Down here in Houston, we have regular truck meets so it's nice to show off something new. It's certainly form over function with these types of mods but it's fun. We have a big meet in Dallas later this year.

For those that asked about pricing, it was $95. Coupe sells less expensive ones but they don't have the laser etching.

Thats what I figured, mostly for show vehicles that are parked with the hood up to get oos and aaahs haha

This is Coupe's version of the oil cap. Notice the painted valve covers. Nice!

What's the point for an TRD oil cap? Just wondering...

Several of the local guys (and girls) on XRU get together for a mod day. The last local one was in Houston. Some guys do some modding. Some BS and some supervise and drink beer.

It is a detailing exercise. I have a street rod and show it. Some of those trends spill over on to my X-runner.

The next major meet is in the Dallas area. Here is a link to that. This is a little more than a mod day.

There is usally a mod day in Houston about every 4~6 months.
