Never mind. I got it.

The tool sorta helped. But it took a pick and a whole bunch of tugging to the point you reach that precarious feeling where something feels like it is on the verge of breaking. LoL.

 

What color is the ring around the start/stop button?

 

Wasn’t that bad of an install. OEM button didn’t come out quite as easy as meso’s video and the 4x4 switch took taking it apart three times to get the toggle between modes lined up. Other than that I love it. Beats having to buy a whole switch.

is that MGM color ring around thr Star/Stop and 4x4 button? And does it match with factory rings around climate buttons?

 

It’s the black kit. I also have the black climate control rings inbound. For whatever reason the start button and rings shipped the same day but somehow they got separated en route. Hopefully Monday?

 

Did you take the start button out or do the mod on the cluster while installed?

 

Must be the pic, ring color looks more dark gray than black.

 

I just took the button out. It's easily removed in under a minute.

 

but you did the Delete Kit before this than.

 

Well, yeah. I got the chrome delete kit a couple weeks prior. If you are doing the chrome delete kit with the button, you will have to take it all out anyway. But it is possible to swap the button with it in the dash. You just have to bend yourself to the button instead of the other way around.

 

Hi Everyone, there was a review on the MESO’s website and it was saying the red button was faded? Has anyone noticed anything or any feed back on the red button being just fine?

 

Wondering how it could fade in under a week of use? Mine seems perfect to me.

 

pretty fast comment on lack of quality considering they just came out. I still haven't gotten mine but hey shipping takes time.

 

@MESO Can you take the chrome ring off the 4wd button like the start button or do you have to take apart like your video

 

Look at post 601 in this thread. It shows a comparison of the shades of red used for each the MESO button and Toyota OEM button. I’m guessing because MESO’s red is lighter in color, that reviewer is calling it faded.
